We didn’t really know any tracks by SG Lewis before this month so it’s been an enjoyable time discovering a new artist’s music we click with. With his last release, “Better” featuring Clairo he blasted onto our radar and it was only the beginning of a beautiful sonic bond. He has now teamed up with AlunaGeorge, a long time favorite to bring us “Hurting”.
It starts with dreamy and psychedelic pads and soon introduces arpeggiated melodies alongside AlunaGeorge’s seductive vocals. It eventually builds into a clean and vibrant bassline that’s sure to get you groovin’. This is another impressive release in the books for SG Lewis’ three-part album Dusk, Dark, Dawn. It surely leaves us anticipating what’s to come!
